Where do I begin. Computers saved me, without them, I think I would have been lost as a child.
I started a dial-up ISP back in 1997 while attending high school. Through years of growth and a couple mergers, I ended up becoming Unicom's Senior Network Admin. If you want technical diversity, go back in time and run an ISP and CLEC in the early 2000's.
I feel very blessed to have the base knowledge I have. It's served me and my family well. Beyond that, I work really well with people which has led to me being promoted into various management positions over the years. What I thought was a forever management job went away after the company sold to a competitor. That led me to scale back and work at the University of Oregon. I'm now their Network Architect and hope to be there until about 2035.
